St Helena and Tristan da Cunha to have General Elections this year – News Flash

St Helena General Election – Wednesday 3rd September

The dissolution of Legislative Council will be on Monday 30th June to pave the way for a general election on 3rd September.  Election Day is four months before the full four-year term of this government.

People not on the register of electors have until mid-May to be included on the voting register for the September general election.

There is also opportunity for Saints overseas to register to vote if they have not been away too long.  Details are available from the Registration Officer, Carol Henry, and Assistant Registration Officers, Anita Legg, Connie Johnson and Gillian Francis at the Castle, Jamestown.

Tristan Holds Island Council Elections on 5th March

The dissolution of Tristan’s Island Council will be on Thursday 13th February.  Elections will take place on Wednesday 5th March 2025.

Results of Election to be normally announced on Thursday, 6th March 2025.

The present Island Council was elected in March 2022 to serve for three years.
