News Flash – Social Media Video Slamming Airlink is Questioned
A social media video posted by Josh Cahill criticising almost everything about Airlink but praising the food and the cabin crew has often been viewed recently.
The Independent asked Airlink to comment on the video, this is their reply: -
Airlink is aware of Mr Josh Cahill’s unflattering flight review video regarding his experience whilst flying on Airlink between Johannesburg and Cape Town, which he created and posted on his YouTube channel in August 2023.
Airlink is also cognisant that Mr Cahill periodically re-shares the same video — more than five times over the past 20 months.
As a company, Airlink has taken the decision to not engage with Mr Cahill or react to his posts, or any of the ensuing comments left by his followers.
It is, however, rather encouraging to note the number of positive comments left by Airlink’s valued customers and [long-time] supporters every time this same video resurfaces — contradicting Mr Cahill’s over-the-top smear of his Airlink flight experience.
Airlink takes its customers and customer service very seriously, and any aspects of the video that were deemed to be legitimate findings were dealt with at the time.
It should also be noted that this type of opinionated review video is not unique to Mr Cahill's purported service experience on one of Airlink’s flights — many other premium international airline brands, including British Airways, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Qantas, and many more, have been portrayed in a similar fashion.
